Dr.'s Jordan and DeSena are proud of their wonderful staff. The professionalism, dedication, kindness and hard work they provide the patients and the practice are exceptional. Because of their deep commitment to providing excellent dental care; they participate in continuing education courses to expand their skills and knowledge. Also, all of our staff maintains yearly CPR certification.
The Administrative duties of our office include patient communications, treatment coordination and scheduling, insurance correspondence and patient advocate. They are dedicated to hospitality and are responsible for managing the financial accounts and office management.
Our practice is fortunate to have Sue Jordan, BS, RDH, overseeing several roles, Office Manager, Business Manager, appointment scheduler, Insurance and financial coordinator. Sue brings over 45 years of experience in dentistry. She started working as a teen in her father’s dental practice, which was a motivating factor in her desire to train in the dental field and to become a dental hygienist. She met Dr. Jordan at Northwestern University Dental School, marrying when she finished her degree. Together they have 3 grown children, one daughter becoming a dental hygienist and the other assists Dr. Jordan chair side! Sue and Dr. Jordan have three grand children ages 1, 2 and 4! Having been a dental assistant and hygienist in her father's practice Sue has the ability to fill in at most staff positions in the office.
Tabatha McGinnis RDH and Penny Ingle RDH also help Sue at various times working at the front desk, scheduling, checking out patients and answering the phone as needed. Both Tabatha and Penny bring their considerable experience and kind caring personalities to assist the patients at the front desk as well as their clinical skills as practicing hygienists.
Dental Assistants are a vital part of our team. The dental assistants facilitate making your visits as pleasant as possible while allowing the doctors and hygienists to provide your care in the most kind helpful manner.
Penny Ingle RDH, CDAII, plays 3 roles in the office! She provides expert dental assisting to Dr. DeSena one day a week, practices dental hygiene three days a week and helps Sue at the front desk when needed. Prior to finishing her dental hygiene degree in 1999, she was a dental assistant for seven years. As well as having exceptional assisting skills, Penny has exceptional people skills and quickly helps new patients feel at ease and welcome. Penny is married and has a grown daughter and son and one granddaughter. She is a great cook and an accomplished singer. She also is an active member of her church.
Kelly Jordan, Dr. Jordan’s youngest daughter, has assisted him for over 2 years. Kelly provides expert assistance while also helping manage the treatment rooms. Kelly has a wonderful gift of making her patients feel relaxed and at ease. Young and old find her a light-hearted, delightful person, with a wonderful sense of humor!
The North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners licenses our Dental Hygienists. We know that healthy, non-bleeding gums and excellent supporting bone are just as critical to long-term dental health as the condition of the teeth themselves. The best way to protect and maintain the supporting structures for life is to have one of our hygienists clean your teeth regularly and implement preventive measures.
Tabatha McGinnis RDH has practiced dental hygiene and been with the practice since 1996. She is extremely dedicated to her patients and our office providing excellent care to her patients. Tabatha is strongly committed to the prevention of dental decay and gum and bone problems (periodontal problems), teaching and educating along with thorough dental hygiene care. Tabatha is married and has three grown children, one grandson and is an active member of her church.
Penny Ingle RDH, CDA II, as mentioned above, not only is an excellent dental assistant, but an enthusiastic dental hygienist. She makes her patient's comfort her first priority, and provides excellent care. Penny is also very committed to the prevention of decay and periodontal problems. She spends quality time educating her patients on the latest preventative techniques dental hygiene has to offer.
